MACR 3826
This plane was named by its pilot, William E. Stevenson, who was from Texas in
honor of the many “cow towns” there. Stevenson was ill the day it was
interned in Sweden with Robert C. Schimmel as its pilot.

Due to engine trouble, the #2 prop had to be feathered, but the plane
could not keep up with the formation. The B-17 lagged behind and when
flying at @ 55*00'N-12*37'E at 11:08 hrs, it peeled off, diving steeply into a
cloud and headed for Sweden. The crew landed safely at Angelholm.
